In the 2023 season, and having become one of the toughest bones of the Dakar, Loeb announced his participation in the newly launched Rally Raid World Championship (W2RC). At the same time, the nine-time world rally champion was the star signing of the World Rallycross Championship season by announcing his joining the Special One Racing project.
